Adventures!

The I'm officially done with school for this semester! I turned in my last essays on Friday.
I've spent this weekend camping with the outdoors club. We drove 4 hours north to the steps of Girriba Campground. My group arrived at around 830 after driving past a control fire set up because there was a bush fire. We could see it in the distance. Driving next to burning trees and stuff was pretty cool.
A terrible quality picture. But look how close the fire was!
This is ~1/4 of camp. More like an open field than a campground but there was a real bathroom.
The next morning I was up early to go white water kayaking. The water level was pretty low unfortunately, so there was a lot of scraping along over rocks. But still fun! I didn't capsize so I never had to test my roll ability :)  the campsite was next to a really nice river spot with rocks to chill on in little mini-waterfalls. We had a Halloween party that night with everyone dressed up and burritos for dinner. Up at 8 the next morning to pack down, clean up camp, and head out. Most of us went climbing. Which was at a really pretty cliff by the sea.

Here, have some super-large pictures.

Look at all the pretty blues!

And also, a not-so-great video. But sometimes I think it's important to remember that the ocean could destroy you if it wanted.

Tomorrow morning I fly out to Ayers Rock  to see Uluru and some other canyons and stuff in the Outback. I'll be in that area until Saturday. Here's the link to the tour in doing if anyone is interested:   https://lostinaustralia.org/uluru-ayers-rock-tours/3-day

On Monday when I get back I'll be starting work. I got a temporary position at the grad shop on campus to help out during graduation. I think I'll be selling flowers. I've only got a few hours a day, but maybe I'll be able to increase it (Australian wages are amazing!).

On an unrelated note: on the way to and back from the Quidditch tournament last weekend (which my team won!) my teammate who was driving didn't mind paying for tolls. So we went in these cross city tunnels. They were super long and super fast (with no traffic) and went under the entire sydney downtown area. Under the harbor too, I think.

Miss you all!
Quid team: hope Regionals are going well! (Kyle, please don't break any more people.)
