Little different things

Here's a list of tiny differences:

- the roads don't have double lines. They have them near turns or intersections, but then it just goes to dotted lines, like between lanes.

- Burger King is called Hungry Jacks. I've been told there was already a restaurant (chain?) here called Burger King.

- crosswalk times: they don't hardly give me enough time to cross. I have no idea how old people don't die.

- no paper towels. In bathrooms or dining halls.

- dual flush on every single toilet

- so much slang. Which I knew before I came down here. But still. I think 'zed' instead of 'zee' surprises me the most every time.

P.s. Have I mentioned how great it is to live in a city? It's so great. Public transport can get you anywhere and you can find absolutely whatever you want because there's just so much stuff. I miss the farms, but this is pretty awesome too

P. P.s. I am aware of the currently heightened terrorist threat both abroad an locally in Australia. I will try to post either here or on Facebook more often to help put minds at ease. But seriously, I don't wonder far from campus or tourist areas. No worries :)
