We will be heading out to camp in a cave we found recently whilst exploring a canyon. The canyon is dry and has no abseils, so all you need to bring is gear for an overnight hike. We don’t need tents, but the cave is quite sandy, so I would recommend bringing a ground sheet so that you don’t get so much sand in your stuff. The trip is suitable for beginners with a reasonable level of fitness.
We will leave Sydney on Saturday morning, walk into the cave (only a couple of kms) then have most of the day to explore the canyon area. We will set up camp (and a fire), then walk out the next morning. We should be back in Sydney not too late on Sunday afternoon.
